Regular maintenance of main components

In order to ensure the compressor work normally and reliably, guarantee the service life of the unit, it is necessary to make a detailed maintenance schedule, perform special operation, regular maintenance, regular inspection, and keep the unit clean, no oil and no dirt.

Maintenance of main components can be performed as the following table:

Note:

A. When maintain or replace some parts according to the table above, the followings must be confirmed: the pressure in the compressor system has been released, the compressor has been separated from other pressure source, the switch on the main circuit has been cut, and the safety mark of “Don’t close the switch !” has been set.

B. The replacing time of the compressor cooling oil depends on using environment, humidity, dust and whether there is acid or alkaline gas in the air. The oil should be replaced after 500 hrs at the first time for the new compressor, then replace the oil on normal period 4000 hrs, and if the running time less than 4000 hrs a year,replace the oil one time a year.

C. The oil filter must be replaced after running 300~500 hrs at the first time, and then on normal time every 2000 hrs.

D. Remember to prevent any debris falling into the compressor cavity when the air filter and intake valves are being maintained or changed. Close the entrance of the air end while operating and let the air end turn a few circles by hands on its rotating direction after operation to make sure the start with no any blocks.

E. Check the tightness of the belt after the machine runs about 2000 hrs. The tightness must be adjusted to tension if the belt is loose. In order to protect the belt, it is necessary to prevent the belt from being abandoned because of oil pollution during the whole operation.

F. The oil filter must be replaced while changing the oil.

G. The replacement parts should adopt the company original parts as far as possible. Otherwise, if there is matching problem, the supplier will not be responsible.


Discharge condensate water

The water in the air will condense in the oil-gas separator tank, especially in wet weather. There will be more condensate water when the discharged temperature is lower than the pressure dew point of the air or when stopped working to cool. If there is too much water in the oil, it will result in emulsification of the lubricating oil and affect the safe operation of the machine. For example:

---Result in the bad lubrication of the air end.

---The separation effect of oil-gas separator becomes worse and the differential pressure of the oil-gas separator becomes larger.

---Result in parts corrosion.

Therefore, the tible for discharging condensate water should be made according to the humidity condition.

The method of discharging condensate water:

The condensate water should be discharged when the machine stops working, no pressure in the oil-gas separator tank, full cooling, and the condensate water gets full precipitation, such as at the time before starting the machine in the morning.

① Unscrew the screw plug on the ball valve at the bottom of the oil-gas separator tank.

② Open the ball valve slowly and drain off water till oil flows out, then shut the ball valve.

③ Screw the plug on the ball valve.


Safety valve

The safety valve has been adjusted before the compressor leaves the factory, and the supplier does not encourage users to adjust the safety valve privately. If it is really necessary to adjust, the adjustment should be carried out under the guidance of the local labor safety department or supplier maintenance personnel, so as to avoid harmful consequences.


Recommendations of maintenance

Provide some recommendations of maintenance to general users here and users should implement them properly.

① Weekly

a. Check the unit to find whether there is abnormal sound or leakage.

b. Check the meter reading is correct or not.

c. Check the temperature display is normal or not.

② Monthly

a. Check whether there is rust or looseness in the machine, if there is rust, remove it and add oil or paint, tighten the loosen place.

b. Discharge the condensate water.

③ Every three months

a. Remove the dust on the outside of the cooler, fan cover and fan blade.

b. Fill the motor bearings with lubricant oil.

c. Check whether there is the phenomenon of ageing and broken on the hose.

d. Check the electrical components, clean the control box.


Add lubricating oil

The oil level of compressor should be kept between the lowest and the highest oil level line when the compressor is working. The separation effect will be influenced if there is more oil and the performance of lubrication and cooling will be influenced if there is less oil. During the oil changing circle, the lubricating oil should be added in time if the oil level lower than the lowest oil level line. The method is:

① Stop the compressor to let the internal pressure be released (make sure there is no pressure in the system), and pull down the main power switch.

② Open the refueling port on the oil-gas separator and add appropriate lubricating oil.

③ The time of replacing oil during normal operation is in the regular maintenance table.
